Course planning
In line with four pillars of curriculum designs, namely Professional Foundation, Professional Cores, Healthcare, and Elderly Related Industry Linkage as well as Taiwan’s long-term care policy, professional courses are under three categories: caregiver, home service coordinator and health care management consultant. Courses like Foundational Healthcare Practice, Long-term Care Case Management and Practice, Professional Teamwork Management, and Long-term Business Management and Quality. Besides, elective courses contains four groups: Elderly Leisure Life Planning, Elderly Management and Marketing, and Elderly Health and Beauty. To create one’s job opportunities and strengthen one’s competiveness in job market, students are encouraged to pursue two-major or sub-major bachelor’s degree and get related professional licenses and certification.
 
•    In 2018 academic year, a series of future elderly healthcare scenario simulation classroom are available for technique demonstration and practice, deepening their professional knowledge and techniques. To assist students with evidence-based and practical experience, only highly qualified and accredited elderly and long-term care institutes would be selected as practicum sites.
 
•    The engagement of projects like Employment Program and University Social Responsibility enriched and diversified the curriculum design.
 
To create one’s job opportunities and strengthen one’s competiveness in job market, students are encouraged to pursue two-major or sub-major bachelor’s degree and try to get related professional licenses and certification. Finally, students develop as professionals with competence of elderly health, long-term care and related business management becoming crucial human resources in elderly long-term healthcare industry.
